No-Cost Services for Sexual Risk Avoidance

When you have sex, there is a chance you could get pregnant. Contraception is important, but no form is 100% effective.

Statistics say, “A sexually active teen who doesn’t use contraceptives has a 90% chance of becoming pregnant within a year.”

Early Pregnancy Symptoms

A missed period or nausea are the most common signs of pregnancy. Are you experiencing any of these other symptoms?

  • Swollen, tender breasts
  • Nausea with or without vomiting
  • Increased urination
  • Fatigue
  • Moodiness
  • Bloating
  • Light spotting
  • Food aversions or cravings

Having one or more of these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean you are pregnant. However, these symptoms are a strong signal.

What To Do First

To find out if you’re pregnant, get a free and confidential lab-certified pregnancy urine test from trained healthcare professionals at WCMC. While you’re at WCMC, talk confidentially with a patient advocate about your situation to see how we can help.

Free Pregnancy Testing

Just the thought of being pregnant can cause fear and anxiety. No matter what you may be feeling, we are here to help every step of the way.

Verify your pregnancy with free lab-quality pregnancy testing for your peace of mind. Our pregnancy tests are over 99% accurate and detect the hCG pregnancy hormone as early as 10 days after conception.

Call Women’s Care Medical Center at (251) 947-2111 or text (251) 929-4702 to schedule your free pregnancy test.

Home Pregnancy Tests

Home pregnancy tests are accurate, but there is a slight chance you could have taken the test too early or incorrectly. Taking a home pregnancy test incorrectly is easy to do because you’re anxious and nervous.

To get the most accurate results and feel confident, receive free lab-quality pregnancy testing from MCWC to be sure.

What If I’m Pregnant?

The thought of being a pregnant teen is scary. Alabama has the fifth-highest teen birth rate in the nation. About 74% of teen births in Alabama are from older teens (ages 18-19), and 16% of teen births are from teens who already have children.

If you receive a positive test result from one of our pregnancy tests, we’ll arrange for a free ultrasound scan. A pregnancy test only indicates the possibility of pregnancy.

Ultrasound confirms whether your pregnancy is viable (growing) or you’ve miscarried (up to 20% of known pregnancies end in a natural miscarriage).

An ultrasound scan also provides an indication of how far along you are in your pregnancy and if it’s located in the correct place.

At Women’s Care Medical Center, your test results and any conversations we have are entirely confidential. No one is notified that you visited us.

You are braver than you believe.
Stronger than you think.
