No-Cost Services for Sexual Risk Avoidance

As a fellow parents, we know that your child’s health and wellbeing are most important to you. We also know that what they learn in their youth is vital to their longterm health and wellbeing. Here at Baldwin County SRA, we are not only a resource for the schools and students, but primarily we want to be a partner with you, the parent.

The content of this webpage is 100% geared towards you being in the know. We practice full transparency with our curriculum, our content, and our goals for your student’s sexual health education.

The basic tenants of Sexual Risk Avoidance Education include the following principles:

  • Finding effective means within the school environment of reaching youth BEFORE they become sexually active in order to promote self discipline and risk free approaches to the problem of premarital sexual relations of adolescents
  • Articulate laws regarding underage sexual activity, physically and virtually
  • Providing evidenced based awareness of Sexually Transmitted Infections, Teen Pregnancy, and the efficacy of safer sex practices
  • Empowering student self-efficacy by highlighting self-worth, intrinsic value, and by the equipping of practical refusal skills
  • Encouraging teens to seek the highest and best of future relationships by placing mental and emotional health as personal priorities, before sexual activity

Below are a few of the primary resources we use as guidelines for the Sexual Risk Avoidance education model.

In this section you will find three tools at you disposal to be better informed about who we are, what we teach, and our goals for this program. Ultimately, we hope to open a door between you and your child to have a personal conversation about their future.
